Most of what we build marks service, and most of it is already on the site. A retirement after thirty years, a promotion, a change of command, an academy class, a name that shouldn't be forgotten. A commission is for the piece that isn't on that list.

Recognition, built to order

Unit crests and department seals we don't stock. Oversized shadow boxes. Memorial pieces. Signs for a station, a wardroom, or the front of a building. Award programs for a department that runs its own cycle every year.

Personal pieces

Hardwood game boards — chess, Monopoly, backgammon — with family names, unit insignia, or a layout we work out together. Wedding and anniversary pieces. The commission that exists because somebody described it and nobody sells it.

How a commission works

01   The conversation

Tell us what you're commissioning, who it's for, and the date it's needed. Send any images, insignia, or references that matter. We'll come back with questions and a price.

02   The proof

Once you've approved the quote, we build the piece digitally — every dimension, every word, every engraving — and send you a proof. Nothing is cut until you say it is right.

03   The build

Cut on the CNC, finished by hand. We'll send progress photos along the way.

04   The delivery

If there's a ceremony date, it's locked at order and the piece arrives before it. Each piece is finished, signed, and packed by hand, delivered anywhere in the continental United States.

What it costs

Most commissions run $400–$1,200, depending on the wood, the size, and the complexity of the carving or inlay. Larger and one-of-a-kind builds go up from there.

There's no charge for the conversation and no commitment until you've seen and approved a proof.

Timing

Tell us the date at the start. Ceremony deadlines get locked and built against; if yours is tight, say so and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it. End of Watch pieces move ahead of everything else on the bench — call or text 912-333-0777 at any hour.
